Norwich – Robert Leo McGrath, 90, of Gifford Street passed away Thursday June 6, 2024 at the W. W. Backus Hospital.

He was born September 8, 1933 in Norwich, CT the son of Charles and Blanche (Lacombe) McGrath.

For many years he worked as a supervisor for the US Post Office. He was an avid fisherman, loved to sing and play cards.

He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia, parents, and 5 brothers and sisters Charles, Joan, Eileen, Mother Mary Luke, and Tom.

Bob is survived by his wife Ann (Murphy) McGrath, son Timothy Michaels, 9 brothers and sisters Clem (Lesley), Gene, Rita, Anne (Arnie), Elizabeth (Paul), Claire (Paul), Cathy (Wayne), Bill (Nui), and Rich (Jackie).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday June 11, 2024 at 10 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
