Norwich-Angels came on February 16th to take our beloved Paul Joseph Fleming home to heaven. Paul was born January 7, 1960 in Norwich.  He is the son of Carl and Mary (Betty) (Leary) Fleming, Jr. of Norwich and Palm City, FL.

He graduated from Norwich Free Academy and graduated cum laude from Providence College earning two degrees. 

Paul worked as a Prudential Insurance agent for 35 years receiving various accreditations and designations. He was a Justice of the Peace in Connecticut where he enjoyed the honor of marrying many people.  For 33 years he was a member of the Benevolent Order of Elks.

Paul loved to travel and discover new places.  His favorite place was Ireland due to his Irish heritage which was shown through his sense of humor, quick wit and laughter.  He had the special gift of eloquence as he enjoyed talking to people and making new friends.  His inner light shined bright to all.

He was a kind, loyal and generous person who deeply love his family and friends.  He was loved by all who knew him and was always there to help anyone who needed it.

He will be loved and remembered by his wife of 29 years Karen (LaFave), two brothers, Carl and Kathleen Fleming of Stuart, FL.  and Gary and Karin Fleming of Palm City, FL, along with his loving nephews. He will be sadly missed by all his family and all who knew him.

Due to the pandemic, burial and celebration of Paul's life will be later this year.  In lieu of flowers, Paul would have just wanted you to take the time to pay it forward to others. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Clift St. Norwich, CT. 06360.

Paul always told us if something happens don't cry, just celebrate my life and raise up a pint of Guinness to me. Slainte Paul!
