Mary Lou (Bushnell) Gromko

Mary Lou (Lou Lou) (Bushnell) Gromko of Norwich CT went home to the Lord, our father, on December 14th, 2023, at the age of 83. She is predeceased by parents James and Marjory Bushnell, her sister Jean Ann Bushnell, her beloved husband Anthony Gromko Jr, and their son, Michael F. Gromko.  She is survived by daughters Cheryl (Joe) Muscarella, Toni Marie (Paul) Talbot and her grandchildren Joseph and Nicole Muscarella, Raymond and David Talbot, Kaila (Gromko) (Kris) Breen, Brianna and Anthony Gromko, her sister Betty Jo Curran, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was very involved with her children’s various activities over the years.  She served, for many years, as the President of the Elizabeth Street School PTA.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for her adult life.  She and Anthony traveled extensively through their retirement years.  This travel included going cross country and many cruises. They had a winter residence in Fort Myers, FL., for numerous years.  If you knew Mary Lou well, you wouldn’t be surprised to know she was cremated with chocolates!  

Calling hours will be, Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 9 to 11 AM, followed by a short Catholic service at Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home, 82 Cliff St., Norwich, CT.
