Jean E. Lathers 1950-2021

Norwich- Jean E. (DeScisciolo) Lathers 71, passed away on Sunday April 11th at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness.

Born March 29th, 1950 in Norwich, CT to Joseph and Adeline (Palandra) DeScisciolo. Jean grew up in Norwich and graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1968. Jean worked for John Meyer and The Norwich Bulletin, retiring in 2008.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, her son Justin, her sister Elizabeth Depolito and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jean is survived by her companion of thirty plus years John Gallagher, son Joel and his wife Lori (Castillo) of Keene, NH, eleven grandchildren, her twin sister Marie Williams of Savannah, GA, her brother Joseph (Linda Schrader) of Plainfield, CT, three nephews, numerous cousins, and close cousin Joseph Barile (Barbara) of Preston, CT.

Jean enjoyed cooking and sewing. She loved her big Italian family with its gatherings and food.

At the request of the family there will be no calling hours or service at this time. A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Cummings-Gange Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
