Christine Mary McCarthy of Norwich CT died at Backus Hospital on June 7th 2021. She was 57.

The daughter of Andre Provencher and Kathleen Provencher is survived by her mother Kathleen J Provencher and brothers John Provencher of Norwich and David Provencher of Preston and her sister Cathy Jackson of Lee NH.

Christine was a lover of the arts and avid theater and movie goer. She enjoyed writing plays, poetry and movie reviews. She was most happy during excursions to New York’s theater district and attending Tribecca and Sundance Film Festivals. She was a thoughtful and loyal friend and family member who never missed a birthday, wedding anniversary or any other important event in the lives of the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her brother Jeffrey Provencher and her father Andre Provencher.

Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home is handling the arrangements with a 10:00 church service on June 26th at Sacred Heart Church 57 West Town Street in Norwich. Donations can be made to The Actors Fund in NY info@actorsfund.org.
