Niantic – Carolyn Murray Treadway, 75, of Main Street passed away Friday March 9, 2018 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 19, 1942 in Norwich the daughter of Thomas and Adelaide (Hinchey) Murray.

Carolyn worked for many years as the director of nursing at Norwich State Hospital. She enjoyed traveling Europe on her bike as well as exercising and dancing. She loved her dog Brandon.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Thomas Murray Jr.

Carolyn is survived by her companion of 40 years Henry Maynard, sister Gerri Serrilli (Ralph), aunt Adeline Hinchey and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be Friday March 16, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Peter and Paul Church 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich. Burial will be private at a later date.
