Feb. 7, 1936 – Jan. 1, 2019

Passed away at William Backus Hospital on Jan. 1, 2019. She was a former employee of United Nuclear. She enjoyed attending Connecticut Sun Basketball games.

Shirley leaves behind, her companion of 31 years, Jose Gonzalez of Norwich, Daughters Norma Johnson of Florida and Patricia and her husband James Cote of South Carolina, four grandchildren, Stacey and her husband James Firlik of Florida, Timothy Glaude and his partner Nicole Proulx of Canterbury, Amber Kempesta of Canterbury, Christy and her husband Richard Bernat Jr. of Baltic and six great grandchildren. Shirley is predeceased by her sister, Ruth Pilecki.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the family’s convivence.
