Peter Baird

Peter Baird, age 94, was born in Morawhanna, North West District, Guyana on September 9, 1924.  He peacefully went home on May 26, 2019 at 6:18 PM at Lawrence Memorial Hospital surrounded by numerous family members and friends.  Peter Baird was a resident of Norwich Connecticut for over 41 years where he was loved and respected for his hard work and strong character.  Peter Baird will join his son, Gordon Baird and will be missed deeply by his sister, Alexandriana Elliott, his 4 remaining children, Peter Baird Jr., Dr. Charline Wills White, Gerianne Profitt, Brook Baird, his son-in-laws, Karl White and Duncan Profitt, and his dear friends Ned Remondi and Mariam Whyte along with his SGI Budhist community.

Peter Baird’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Cummings and Gagne Funeral Parlor located at 82 Cliff Street Norwich, CT 06360.  The Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a combined Budhist and Christian service to follow at 11:00 AM.
