Mary Patricia O'Neill

Mary Patricia O’Neill passed away on January 25, 2018 at Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center.  She was born on April 26, 1936 in Norwich, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Denis and Mary (Barry) O’Neill.  Mary Pat graduated from St. Patrick’s Grammar School and was a member of the graduating class of 1953 from Norwich Free Academy.

Mary Pat worked at the American Thermos Company on Laurel Hill as secretary to the President until its closing.  She worked at the Norwich Chamber of Commerce from which she retired.  Mary Pat was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown where she was a Trustee.  At Sacred Heart Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society, a confirmation sponsor, taught catechism classes for many years and counted the Sunday offertory collections.

Mary Pat devoted her life to her family.  After the death of her parents, she dedicated her life to the care of her brother Barry who predeceased her in 2010.

A funeral service will be Wednesday January 31, 2018 at 10 AM at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff Street Norwich followed by a burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
