Nov. 23, 1962 - February 25th, 2019

After a courageous battle with cancer, Joe passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday February 25, 2019.

Joe was born and raised in Norwich, CT the Son of Patricia Kirby Pellegrini and the late Americo "Chic" Pellegrini who predeceased him.

Joe married his unconditionally loved wife Colleen (Erdmann) in Oct 1984. Together for 34 years they created a beautiful life and family. Joe retired from Norwich Public Utilities after working there for 34 years.

Joe was a proud Eagle Scout. He took great pride in becoming an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 20 and influencing many future Eagles along the way. He was an avid Kyle Busch Nascar fan. He loved joy rides, loud music and his Firebirds. Joe loved playing on his backhoe and designing his backyard Ponderosa. A place where he could hunt, camp and fish and spend time with his Grandbabies. But mostly, Joe cherished being called Gjo, Grampa and Grampy by his beautiful granddaughters.

All of you who were involved or influenced by Joe, Thank you! We know what you meant to him. So, remember what he meant to you!

He leaves behind his son Anthony (Ashley) and Granddaughter Ayleigh his Daughters Angela (Sam) Geesaman and Granddaughter Willow and Alyssajo (David) Roberts and Granddaughter Charlotte. Also, Buddy! Joe is also a Grandfather to Taylor and Jade Roberts and Khyler Berard.

Joe also leaves behind his brothers Danny (Kathy) Tommy and Robbie (Marlene) Pellegrini and their children. Along with Marie Pellegrini and his extended honorary family and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday March 1, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff Street Norwich, CT.

A funeral service will be Saturday March 2, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Patrick Cathedral 213 Broadway Norwich, CT.

In lieu of any charitable contributions or flowers anyone wishing to donate, Joe asked that it go to his Granddaughters’ future college funds as he said, "that would be cool" You can forward Joes request to Colleen at 182 Kahn Road, North Franklin 06254.
