Mystic – Gweneth E. (Banta) Chattin, 84, resident of Apple Rehab Mystic, CT passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018.
Gwen was predeceased by her parents Victor and Maxine Banta of Hackensack, NJ, and her son Kurt Grunwald of Griswold, CT (a bright spark whom she dearly missed), and previous husband Rudolph Grunwald of Mystic, CT.
Self-educated and a killer Trivial Pursuit player, Gwen enjoyed gardening, nature, her charming home at “The Pond”, books, animals, the arts, and rode her own motorcycle when she lived in Washington State. In lieu of flowers the family would like people to wear pastel colors and please be advised the church is not air conditioned. After the service there will be a reception in the church hall.
