George J. Goepfert IV

George J. Goepfert IV North Stonington - George J. Goepfert IV, 78, of Billings Lake Rd. died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Norwich of November 11, 1933 son of the late George J. Goepfert III and Theresa (LeRoux) Goepfert. George worked for many years as a supervisor at the CT Department of Transportation. Mr. Goepfert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed sports. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. George is predeceased by his wife Claire (Bienveneu) Goepfert who died May 13, 1999. He is survived by his son James Goepfert of North Stonington, a sister Patricia "Marie" O'Connor of Gales Ferry, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 4 to 6PM at the Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff Street Norwich, CT.
