Genevieve S. (Shuell) Bergendahl

Genevieve Bergendahl 1923-2018 Norwich - Genevieve Edna (Shuell) Bergendahl, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in her home. She was born on April 17, 1923, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Petrowsky) Shuell. Gen devoted her life to family and friends. She faced life’s triumphs and tragedies with courage, grace, and strength. With fierce independence, Gen lived life on her own terms; believing that life was a precious gift to be loved, shared, and cherished. Gen was predeceased by her first husband Major Paul Hart, USAF, her second husband Dr. Harold Bergendahl, her son Dennis Michael Hart, and grandson Timothy Patrick Cummings. Gen leaves behind her daughter and granddaughter, Kathleen Hart Cummings and Jennifer Hart Cummings, and countless family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 57 West Town St, Norwich, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been encrusted to Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, be kind to one another.
