Norwich - Anthony J. Caruso, 23, of Norwich died Saturday August 19, 2017.
He was born August 6, 1994 in Norwich, the son of Jason Coffey and Laura Caruso.
Anthony met his adoptive father, Christopher Harris on his fifth birthday. With his dad Chris, he learned many Native American ways and had such a huge heart when it came to wildlife and the outdoors. Anthony inherited his mom's infectious smile which along with his fiery spirit would light up the hearts of all those around him. Anthony was an avid outdoors-man and rode motorcycles since he was 7. In his later years, he reconnected with his biological father Jason Coffey who shared in his outdoor activities. He was a proud member of the Iron Workers Local 15.
He was predeceased by his mother Laura Caruso and grandfather Julius Schwensfier.
Anthony lost his mom at 16 and he was blessed by the support of so many members of his blended families. He shared those blessings with everyone he knew. Anthony is survived by his father and step mom Chris and Donna Harris of Lisbon, his biological father Jason Coffey of Norwich, three sisters Stephanie Coffey of Georgia, Alyssa Coffey of Norwich, Kierra Coffey of Norwich, five brothers Stephen Harris of Las Vegas, Shane Germany of Mississippi, Stephen Filgueira of Hartford, Ryan Harris of Norwich, Joshua Bywater of Hartford, grandparents Charles and Linda Harris of Quaker Hill, grandmothers Geraghty Hawkins of Norwich, Cheryl Harris of Uncasville, great grandparents Tony and Carole Caruso of California. Anthony cherished Sherrie "Auntie" Schwensfier of Gales Ferry and spent a lot of time with his honorary uncle Gary McMahon of Norwich along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. Anthony also leaves behind the loves of his life, Marissa Dube of Voluntown and his beloved dogs Max and Gemma.
Calling hours will be Monday August 28, 2017 from 3 to 6 PM at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff Street Norwich, CT.
